Information & Networking Breakfast ~ Supporting Each Other in Mental Wellness

  • Neighbourhood Learning Centre, Rooms 1007/1009 46361 Yale Road Chilliwack, BC, V2P 2P8 Canada (map)

Program

It can be scary when someone you love is sick. It can be especially scary if they’re struggling with mental illness - mild, moderate or severe, diagnosed or not. It’s hard to see someone you love in pain and it’s confusing when someone you know well is not acting like themselves. You know how you would take care of them if they had a cold or flu, but what do you do for a mental illness? Like any other health problem, someone with a mental illness needs extra love and support. You may not be able to see the illness, but it doesn’t mean that you’re powerless to help.

Our presentations for this Information and Networking Breakfast are all about learning what programs and supports there are for families and friends to support each other in mental wellness.

Presenters: Chilliwack Mental Health, British Columbia Schizophrenia Society, the CHC Mental Health Guide Development Committee, Ann Davis Transition Society.
